What operating system will the ENERGEX Weather Widget run on?

The Weather Widget will run on the following operating systems:

How do I install the Weather Widget?

To install your Weather Widget simply download the file and unzip on your desktop. Once on your desktop double click to install.

What type of Internet connection is required for the Energex Weather Widget?

Whilst the Weather Widget will run on a dial-up connection, a broadband connection is considered the best way to receive the most up to date weather conditions throughout the day.



If you have dial up you my wish to increase the update period in the widgets Preferences page (Spanner Icon) to 8 hours in order reduce the number of connections per day. The weather widget will not initiate an internet connection, therefore dialup users will need to connect to the internet to receive weather information updates, it is recommended that you connect before running the widget.

Where does the Weather data come from?

The Energex Weather Widget uses data provided by The Weather Company via www.weatherzone.com.au. The Bureau of Meteorology (BoM) supplies weather information and The Weather Company converts this information into computer ready data.

How often does the Weather data get updated?

By selecting the Preferences button (Spanner Icon) on your widget you can select the intervals between updates. You can select from every 1, 4 or 8 hours.

Can I change the Weather data?

By selecting the Preferences button (Spanner Icon) you can select the region or capital city that you would like to see the weather from.

How do I uninstall the Weather Widget?

If you run the Setup exe again you can select uninstall, If you no longer have the setup application simple download the file again.
