No, due to the nature of our industry and the training required prior to commencing operational work, Energy Queensland is unable meet the legislated requirements of school-based apprenticeships.

Work experience is encouraged for school students considering an apprenticeship with us; however, it is important to note that due to operational constraints work experience is not offered in all locations and only at specific times of the years.

Employment conditions are regulated by the relevant legal agreement.
- Under 21: Salary commencing from $62,316 per annum + superannuation
- 21 and over: Salary commencing from $84,457 per annum + superannuation

Apprentices work a 72-hour, nine-day fortnight. The start and finish times may vary at different work locations, however your standard working day will be eight hours.
Please note: You may be required to travel to other locations and complete overtime as required.
