Our network batteries
We bring the energy of Queensland to power the lives of our customers every day, and we’re working hard to shape Queensland’s electricity network for the future.
One way we’re doing this is by connecting network batteries across the state to help us store more energy in local communities – so we can supply it later when electricity demand is high.
It’s all part of our commitment to helping Queenslanders use energy their way.

How batteries work
During the day, the network batteries are charged with rooftop solar energy. And at night, they are used to power homes and businesses with renewable energy.
While the batteries cannot supply all of the communities’ power needs, they are becoming an important tool to help us manage the evening peak.
